Over the past 10 years, China Europe Express has operated a total of 77000 trains, transporting 7.31 million TEUs of goods with a value exceeding 340 billion US dollars, becoming an important bridge for international economic and trade cooperation. The China Europe freight train has opened up a new phase of international transportation cooperation and brought new opportunities for the development of related industries.

After 10 years of development, the China Europe Express has opened up a new route for land transportation between Asia and Europe. In China, there are three main transportation channels in the west, middle and east, which exit through Alataw Pass, Khorgos, Erenhot, Manzhouli, Suifenhe and other ports. The 120 km/h map shows that there are 86 routes between China and Europe, connecting 112 cities; Overseas, three major channels, namely North, Central, and South, have been preliminarily formed, connecting 217 cities in 25 European countries and regions, as well as over 100 cities in 11 Asian and regional regions along the route.

According to data from China Railway Group, from January to August this year, China Europe Express operated 11638 trains and sent 1.262 million TEUs of goods, with year-on-year growth of 10% and 23% respectively, moving towards higher quality, better efficiency, and safer development.

According to an official notice issued by COSCO Shipping Group, COSCO Shipping, Power Investment, Shanghai Port Group (600018), and China Inspection and Quarantine Corporation (CICC) jointly signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Developing a Green Methanol Industry Chain" online through a "cloud signing" method yesterday.

This marks the actual construction stage of the entire marine green methanol industry chain project, which covers various links such as production, transportation, refueling, and certification in China.

COSCO Shipping stated that using green methanol fuel is an important way for the shipping industry to achieve green transformation. COSCO Shipping Group has ordered 12 24000 TEUs of the world's largest methanol dual fuel container ships, with over 200 methanol ship orders worldwide.

The European Chip Act officially takes effect

The European Commission announced on the 21st that the European Chip Act has officially come into effect. This plan promotes the industrialization of key technologies through the European Chip Program, encouraging public and private enterprises to invest in the manufacturing facilities of chip manufacturers and their suppliers.

Under the framework of the bill, the EU plans to establish a coordination mechanism between member states and committees to strengthen cooperation between member states, monitor chip supply, estimate demand, and activate emergency mechanisms if necessary.

The announcement states that Europe accounts for less than 10% of the global semiconductor production market and heavily relies on third-party suppliers. If the global supply chain is severely disrupted, the European industrial sector may be depleted in a short period of time, leading to a stagnation of European industry.

Africa Strives to Develop Clean Energy

The report "Africa Clean Energy Financing" jointly released by the International Energy Agency and the African Development Bank recently shows that although Africa accounts for nearly 20% of the world's population and has abundant clean energy resources, Africa's investment in clean energy only accounts for about 2% of the world's total.

In addition, due to multiple factors such as regional security risks and international market prices, the financing cost of clean energy projects in Africa is at least 2-3 times higher than that of developed economies, which hinders the initiation and construction of related projects. The report calls for urgent action by the international community to help Africa obtain funding and reduce financing costs to achieve Africa's development and climate goals.
